Dandelion Muffins

  1. Hello! I stumbled across your amazing blog today while searching for "violet infused honey" which is currently sitting on my counter. I think I'm in love with your blog and reading through your experiences. Thank you! Would you mind sharing your dandelion nuffin recipe? I've got a bumper crop this year and would love to take advantage of them in more ways. Also, have you ever actually attempted to harvest the maple tree helicopter style seeds? I collected tons year before last and wore out quickly. :)

  2. Oh what lovely comments! What did you do with the maple helicopter seeds? The dandelion muffins are from Langdon Cook's book Fat of the Land--page 96. I can't print it without copyright infringement. But it is simple and yummy. Honestly, I think you could take a blueberry muffin recipe and substitute dandelion flowers (yellow petals only) for the blueberries and it would come out fine. Cook's blog (also called Fat of the Land)is great--we link to it on our side bar.

  3. Thank you for your response and blog recommendation. I will have to add the book to my ever growing "wish list" and in the meantime do some dandelion experimenting. Dandelion pancakes may be in our very near future.
